Locality: Wellin, Ardennes, Belgium

Here is another case of an exceptionally rare Gerastos species. It is only known from the Hanonet Formation near Wellin along with Calceola sandalina specimens later described by Wright et al. (2010) (see Research). Only one specimen (the holotype) was ever found, in the 1970s, by Jules Snellings after whom the species was named.
